I am Sammie, a first year college student attending Columbus State. I was lucky enough to be excepted into the Preferred Pathway Scholar program. Generally the program I am in requires me to take my English and COLS class at the main campus down town, but Columbus is a little far from where I live. This school and program have been so nice to allow me to attend English and COLS class at the Delaware campus.
Math is my favorite subject, and I cannot wait until I become a middle school math teacher. I graduated from an alternative school in Worthington and I have experienced real world application from my schooling. I spent the last semester of high school out of the classroom, one eight week experience at a middle school shadowing a math teacher. I learned that I love teaching middle school math and that I can teach middle schoolers. I also spent eight weeks at the OSU Airport helping plan and organize SAFECON ( a huge flying event). If flying was not extremely expensive I would love to learn how to fly.
Writing papers is not my strong point, but I work very hard and try my best on every assignment. I am an easy going person who loves math and laughing.
